MLSD unveils new middle school mascots

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake School District unveiled the new mascots and logos for both Columbia Middle School — the Red Hawks — and Frontier Middle School — the Spartans. According to a pair of MLSD press releases, the mascots and logos were selected by the district’s 15-member Mascot Committee, which consisted of students, parents, staff and district residents, and approved by the Moses Lake School Board. “Together, they weighed hundreds of ideas and submissions from a public survey,” the release said.
