January 15, 1949 – July 10, 2019
Donna M. Miller (Blackwood), born January 15, 1949, took her stand up comedy routine to Heaven July 10. Boy, do we hope He knows what He has gotten Himself into as Heaven will surely never be the same.
Her family is fairly, if not pretty, certain she loved and adored her cowboy of 50 years, David Miller; her daughters Krista Jones, Julie Garibay and Stacy Orozco and bonus kid Brandi Engel; her sons-in-law Mason, Aaron and David; her brother John Blackwood and her sister Barbara Allen as well as her many nieces and nephews.
The one thing that we do know for a fact, however, is that her biggest love and joy were her grandkids Jord’Enn Barker, David Mende, Haylee Orozco, Rylee Garibay, Kaylyn Orozco and Brynlynn King as well as many “extra and loved” grandkids throughout the years. It is in those faces that her laughter, love, memory and wit will live on.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Marie Blackwood, brother-in-law Dave Allen and son-in-law Deme Garibay.
Mom leaves behind all of us, her fur babies, a world that is just a little less comical and humorous, her baking supplies and laughter. Lots and lots of laughter.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you bake your favorite pie, invite your family and friends over, sit around the table and share that pie and some memories. You would be amazed at what a pie can do for a family.
Extra special thank you to Aunt Barb and Brad S. for going above and beyond. Hey, Donna, “And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.”
