January 15, 1925 – February 2, 2019

Jesus Alvarado, longtime resident of Moses Lake, with God’s grace passed peacefully in his home at the age of 94 surrounded by his loving family on Feb. 2, 2019. Born to Regino and Juanita Alvarado in Mathis, Texas on Jan. 15, 1925, he was one of 10 children. He married the love of his life Petra Cavazos in Mathis, Texas. Later they moved to Moses Lake, raising their eight children.

He especially enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his garden, hunting and camping on his “Upper 40” property in the mountains, He also loved watching the Mariners and the Seahawks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Petra, son Erasmo and nine siblings. He is survived by four sons, three daughters and 24 grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb.6, at 9 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 9:30 and Catholic Mass at 10 at Our Lady Of Fatima Catholic Church. This will be followed by a Funeral Service at Pioneer Memorial Gardens in Moses Lake.
