Gary Raymond Grove Jr., 34, passed away on Aug. 13, 2018 in Yuma, Ariz. Raymond was born in Moses Lake, Wash. on Nov. 3, 1983 to Gary Grove and Heidi Whitney. He is survived by immediate family Heidi Whitney and Gary Grove and two sisters Jennifer Sulluces and Lacey Charlene Grove.

Raymond graduated from Moses Lake, Wash. in 2002 and immediately joined the Army National Guard. He served 11 years with two tours in the Iraq war from 2003 to 2004 with the 1161st unit from Ephrata, Wash. and from 2006 to– 2008 with the 790th Chemical Company from Grandview, Wash. He later served with the Phoenix, Ariz. PD. For a period of time he was a commercial deep sea diver. The last four years Raymond was employed, by a career of passion, as a firefighter and recently paramedic for Yuma Proving Ground Fire Department in Yuma, Ariz.

A memorial will be held in his honor Sept 22, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Block 40 Community Club, 9704 Rd. 12 NE in Moses Lake, Wash. The service will be followed by a potluck.
