QUINCY — The North Central Regional Library will sponsor a series of “STEM Night” craft classes for adults this fall, including some in Quincy. The Quincy classes will be at the Quincy Public Market.

Classes in Quincy are scheduled for Sept. 30, Oct. 28, Nov. 25 and Dec. 30. All classes will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Sept. 30 class will feature coasters made with laser cutters; participants in the Nov. 25 class will make tie-dye. The Dec. 30 class will feature aromatherapy rice bags.

The classes use some of “the STEM technology and activities the library district already regularly offers to children and teens along with new things to test out,” according to a press release from NCRL. The library district’s goal is to meet patrons outside the library and “to reach adults who may not be currently using the library’s services or don’t know what the library has to offer,” the press release said.
