Connor Vanderweyst/Columbia Basin Herald Moses Lake Christian's Kali Kast puts up a shot over the Touchet defense.

MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake Christian could not find enough offense consistently and lost a non-league game to Touchet 41-26.

Where Touchet was able to generate some consistent offense throughout the game, Moses Lake Christian was limited to fits and starts and did not eclipse 20 points until the fourth quarter.

The Lions looked their best during a 7-0 spurt in the second quarter to trim the Indians’ lead to two points, 12-10. Makiya Kast hit a 3-pointer, followed by an Aspen Merkle Lay-up and two free throws from Kali Kast.

Touchet was able to push the lead back up to six points by halftime and then opened the third quarter on a 9-0 run. The Indians led by double digits for most of the second half.

Moses Lake Christian returns to league play Saturday, 5:45 p.m., at home against Pateros.

COULEE CITY — Harrington was held to two points through three quarters and Almira/Coulee-Hartline cruised to a 63-7 win.
