MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake lost its final game of the season to Sunnyside 56-0.

The Grizzlies, needing a win for an opportunity to reach the State tournament, dominated the first half en route to a 42-0 lead.

Devin Escamilla plunged into the end zone to put the Grizzlies ahead 42-0, enacting the running clock at the start of the second half. The Chiefs received the second-half kickoff, however, that drive ended in an interception by Favian Oseguera.

Sunnyside added two more touchdowns in the second half.

The Grizzlies’ win coupled with Eastmont’s win over Wenatchee set up a three-way tie at the top of the Columbia Basin Big Nine.

Lions Field will host a tiebreaker between the Panthers, Wildcats and Grizzlies Saturday at 1 p.m.
