NACHES — Wahluke picked an opportune time to earn its first win of the season over rival Royal.

Yerik Arellano scored in the second half and the Warriors were able to claim the District 5 championship and No. 1 seed to state 1-0.

Royal searched for an equalizer over the final 10 minutes, but could not put a quality shot on frame. The Knights also qualified for state as a No. 2 seed.
