MOSES LAKE - Rep. Tom Dent, R-Moses Lake, was taken to the hospital Wednesday after experiencing some dizziness on the floor of the state House of Representatives, but is in good health, according to a press release.

Emergency medical personnel were called and Dent was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. Dent returned to the House before noon Thursday and issued the following statement:

的nitially there was speculation I had a heart attack. That is not the case. They ran numerous tests, including a CAT scan, which revealed my heart is in good condition.

的 have been recovering from a serious case of walking pneumonia the last couple weeks. The doctor informed me if I experienced any dizziness, I should go to the hospital. Calling for emergency medical personnel was a precautionary action.

溺y electrolyte levels became very low due to dehydration and the lingering effect of the walking pneumonia. I was given some fluids and released from the hospital after my tests had been completed yesterday evening. Though my energy is a little low, I am feeling fine.

的 want to thank everyone for their concern, thoughts and prayers. There were numerous people around me offering their assistance.

的 encourage everyone to make their health and well-being a priority. Not only for themselves, but for their families as well. We work long and demanding hours in Olympia and it is important we take care of ourselves.

的t is an honor to serve the great folks of the 13th District and Washington state.
