CITY OF QUINCY JOB ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION OPEN: Public Works Maintenance Supervisor CLOSING DATE: Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:00 am SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $80,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. This is non-union, Fair Labor Standards Act exempt position. POSITION OVERVIEW: Under general direction, supervise, plans and coordinates assigned maintenance activities and operations including streets, parks, drainage systems, mechanical shop, water and sewer transmission lines, refuse, and related buildings and facilities; ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; coordinates assigned activities with other departments, outside agencies, and the general public; and provides responsible and complex personnel assistance to the Public Works Director & City Engineer. Responsible for evaluations and discipline of assigned utility personnel. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED, and five years of public works maintenance experience including two years of administrative and/or lead supervisory experience. Must possess a valid and current Washington State Drivers License. Preferred although not required, the following work experience is preferred for the position: Washington State Level II Water Distribution Manager Certificate. Additional college and/or technical certifications in construction, management, or related field. This position shall be filled by appointment of the mayor and shall be confirmed by Council before assuming office.
